    G'day,

In 2015 or 2016 I will be hunting in washington and Idaho. How do I complete the practical assessment for hunters ed?? In washington I get the one time deferral but I need it for idaho.

Anyone know if I can organise to do it when I get over there? I'm worried I won't get a place in the course as everyone will leave it to last minute..

You will want to get it completed well before you show up for your hunt. Hopefully Idaho offers it on-line. Every state has different laws and regulations. The best thing you can do is to contact each states Department of Fish and Game and talk with someone who is knowledgeable there. Other hunters may give you incorrect advice as rules and regulations may change yearly. Idaho Fish and Game - Home Page 208-334-3700

I can do it online no problem but apparently I have to do the field day (practical assessment) in idaho..
Perhaps if I found a state that doesn't require a practical assessment I could do that one.. Assuming it was recognised on idaho like many are

Contact the International hunter safety education association. They can help you.
