Since I am a night owl I and bored right now I thought I would go through all the contest kills and see which brands have the most kills. I looked at bows and broadheads.

    Bows:
    Mathews- 39
    Bowtech- 15
    Hoyt- 13
    Diamond-7
    PSE-7
    Bear-5
    Quest-4
    Elite-3
    Prime-2
    Browning-2
    Barnett-1
    Reflex-1
    Martin-1

    Broadheads:
    NAP- 35
    Rage-22
    G5-10
    Muzzy-9
    Slick Trick- 6
    Ramcat-4
    Shuttle T-3
    QAD-2
    Grim Reaper-2
    Carbon Express-1

Think what I find most interesting is that Mathews has more kills then Hoyt, Bowtech, & PSE put together. Don't think that I am very surprised with the broadheads except that I am not familiar with RamCat so will have to check them out!

I was thinking that might be tomorrows insomnia activity! Either that or look at every bow and figure out how many southpaws have killed deer yet!

That is interesting! Jferg you might as well take it one step further and do average kill distance. 0-10, 10-20, etc. I am a numbers guy and just trying to help you stay active in the middle of the night when the rest of us are dreaming of killing deer! :)

I guess marketing does work, seeing how this site is sponsored so heavily by Mathews. I'm sure the make a great bow, I just have never been one that buys heavily marketed products. Hint's why I'm shooting a Prime.

I thought Diamond was a sub-company of Bowtech? (Like Mission is to Mathews). Unless I'm misinformed : /

Are those Mathews kills all Mathews bows or does that include Mission?

Seemed like a lot of members shoot Mission so its odd to see no kills by Mission bows yet.

I have all the time data entered into Excel. I'll see if I can get it into a readable chart sometime over the next few days.

I did not see any Mission kills listed. A few posts did not say the bow that they were using so I couldnt include it. So no that was strictly a Mathews count. And I am aware a Reflex was Hoyt and Diamond Is Bowtech but I chose to count each line seperatly.

Combine this data with loyalty and external data to enrich the info and you can spin the data a million ways to Sunday. Welcome to my real job...Bowhunting has been my escape...Thanks!

    Now my mind wanders...

Without numbers of people on the site using what bows overall this data most likely means more people shoot Mathews. Is that what you were trying to show ?

Great data! Now can you determine if there is coloration between Bow type, gender, time of day, and who they will vote for? I mean if you have time. :poke:

Great data. Love this type of stuff. However, I do a free with Vendetta. What those numbers most likely represent is that a higher proportion of hunters shoot Mathews then other bow types. I think we can agree that this is most likely true. Really enjoy the time of kill info. I think those times will definitely become much more interesting in the next month.
