Anyone hear or use this product called the String Sight?

Check it out, it's pretty interesting.

Nope hadn't heard of it. I'd have to give it some thought and consideration.

Personally, I don't like the idea of changing your anchor point to change distance. Pretty cool idea though. I've seen guys that have ditched their peeps in favor of 2 pieces of serving that they use to frame the sight housing in. This method I would be more inclined to try than the String Sight, but that's just me.

We could all sell our compounds and start shooting instinctive. :tu: Heck, I can barely hit the broadside of our barn with a sight.

I've come to like my Hind Sight...sorta same concept...but you don't mess with changing anchor point.

I thought you were having some problems getting it lined out. How long did it take you to work out the kinks? I've really got my eye on those.

My problem was more that I changed - well just about everything...

I had it shooting decent groups in about 20 mins, but I realized I was gooning up form due to my kisser and my peep. it made me grossly aware that my anchor point was changing from shot to shot.

So off came the peep, then I realized that the top clip of my kisser was gone...so I tried serving that in (and realized I suck at serving). then I realized I didn't like my rest...so I got a new NAP Apache coming in the mail.

And its been like 90 when I get home and night and I just haven't felt like shooting.

So, I really dig the sight - its more like a rifle to me, which I am comfortable with.

Cool idea, my only concern would be that people with them would be trying 150yrd shots on game animals. In a sense, bowhunting seems to be driving further and further away from true bowhunting.

I'm not sure I understand your concern. How exactly would either the String Sight or the Hind Sight encourage taking longer shots than someone would attempt using a peep? Take the Hind Sight for instance. You're still limited by the number of pins on your bow (unless you're really good at stacking pins) and neither of these will change the effective range of a bow.

I may be confused as well. foot in mouth. I didn't watch the videos:o I was thinking of a guy who put a string sight in ABOVE his peep sight. this allowed him to shoot out to 150ish yards. I got up far to early to cut firewood, I will shut up now:poke:
