The article was centered around the decrease of hunters and the impact the economy has had on hunting. Statistically speaking showed NC has a reduced harvest by 32.4% compared to the last year, it stated in terms of decrease that NC was one of the highest in terms of reduction in harvest numbers

I had to re-read it twice - thinking maybe it was a typo

I wouldn't think so either, especially during gun season - sound like a small war daily in the woods

Think one of the other states mentioned was Kansas

Our numbers have slumped with regards to out of state hunters in MO, but I think that has alot to do with the increase in price for out of state tags.

MI is now offically not a state:eek: Are GDP has gone down faster and harder than Paris Hilton in a video:(

Watch MI in the next 5 or so years. unless the DNR does something drastic. The SLP is going to have a huge massive deer die off. My prediction is a disease is going to wipe a lot of our herd out.

ok it annoyed the crap outta me so I had to verify

    2007
    94,552 bucks 77,435 does
    2008
    98,359 bucks 77,887 does

but there was an increase in the doe harvest of only 452 while the bucks increased almost 3500
this explains why the deer herd is in the condition it is and we would be good contenders for EAB

    Rookies, lol

    2008
    Bucks 248,350
    Antlerless 241,572(20% were button bucks)

OBR would do the trick and has proven to do so in other states.
