Every now and then I'll get an "SD CARD ERROR" on my Moutrie M-100. The cam is two years old and usually works fine. I read online it needs a firmware update. I downloaded two updates, but they don't come with instructions how to install them on the camera, neither does the M-100 manual. I've done firmware updates on Covert cams before with success, just wondering if I use the same procedure on my Moultrie?
I had same problem with mine..i emailed moultrie n they said to format cards right in camera n not a digital camera..when you do this your gona have to take card out n put it back in..worked on mine for now..i got other issuses with both mine now tho..
I've never formatted an SD card inside a digital point and shoot camera, have been reading warnings about that for a while. OK, I found how to install firmware on a Moultrie M-880. But my camera is an M-100, tried these instructions in it, it doesn't work. Copy the firmware upgrade to an empty SD card. Place the SD card in the camera’s SD card slot. And position the camera’s power switch in the AIM position. The display will show "Upgrade Software". Highlight the "YES" option and press the ENTER button. The firmware update will start automatically and take about 1 minute. Do not turn the camera's power off or remove the battery pack while the upgrade is in process. The camera will shut down when the update is complete. This is normal. Restart the camera and the update will be applied. Whenever I turn the power switch to the AIM position, no "Upgrade Software" message shows. I tried calling Moultrie with no luck, might have to email them. Any more suggestions? I've looked everywhere online.
it might have been updated before. I think if you turn it to aim it will say what firmware version is in it. I would search around on Chasingame.com moutrie's section.
