I have a little thing for inspirational quotes/sayings. Always picking up little sayings or something I hear or read and apply it to everyday life. Perhaps I look entirely too deep into the underlying meanings of such quotes and sayings :p. But some of them really pump me up. Get me through the day. Push me. My all time favorite is "I'm going to kill the bear" (line from the movie The Edge). Pretty simple, not too elaborate, simply......... I'm going to kill the bear. I disected that phrase and discovered the underlying meaning behind not only that but that whole scene. How that applies to everyday life. Powerful stuff. Here's the scene where it comes from. Probably help if you saw the whole movie, but here it is anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4J_QfiGRRc One I came across a few days ago....... Ever try? Ever fail? It doesn't matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better 2nd all time favorite and couldn't agree more with it.... “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”
