I am wondering how to loosen the adhesive on tenpoint pro elite arrow inserts. I want to align my broadheads, can anyone help? Thanks.
If you have a soldering iron and steel screws that will fit into your inserts you might be able to make one.
if they used pernamint glue ya can't, if they used hot glue.. just heat the broadhead to transfer heat to the insert and turn it, then dip in cold water to reset the glue... little bit of heat goes a long way.. to hot and ya can damage the arrow... I use a propane torch set low for about 5 seconds... sure a candle will work as well but leaves soot on the head that will have to be cleaned
they didn't use hot glue then.... your only options now are new arrows, buy em without inserts installed and do it yourself with hot glue, or turn the nocks to align the fletching when you refletch them and refletch
ya.. I never put heat to the arrow itself.. when installing I put an old broadhead in the insert, heat the insert itself then roll in on the glue and install aligning it as I do.... for removal I use a field tip and heat that just enough that it will turn then pull or align it with pliers..... oh ya.. pliers to hold the broadhead as well... hate burnt fingers...
