I have this 1 1/2 year old buck on my place that has a double 90 degree bend on his left G-2. Is it from an injury or is that just the way it grew? Also, do you think it will be that way next year or grow normally?
id have to agree it sometype of injury like hitting it in velvet or something along that line thats a heck of a deer but if this happened it prolly wont be like that next year. on the other hand if it is like this next year id have to say its the genetics of the deer
X2, I have to go along with injury. But then if you look at the buck Lee Lakosky killed early this year, his rack grew funky for a few years in a row.
85% probability that it was a velvet injury, 15% chance it's genetics. I go with injury because it seems sudden and isolated.
