    Hi,

I recently inherited 5 bows from a great uncle that passed away. I don't know much about them or their worth, and figured this might be the place to come to ask about them, if anyone was familiar with the brands and history. Some seem to be custom made. I wish my cell would allow me to post pictures but if you give me an email address I can send pics.

There are 5 bows in total, 3 recurves, and 2 longbows.

    Let's start with the longbows.

The first has "ol bear" 5000 and a signed name (everything signed by hand) "ben pearson" with two handdrawn deer tracks under it.it says 40#@ 28' 66' near the rest also hand written.

The other has "howatt tradition" handwritten on the wood and 40# @ 26" AMO 68' ml-17 2195 written under the hand rest.

    To the recurves

One is a multicolored wood with " The Phantom custom made for G**** D******* by Tim Brakenbury Bows handwritten.

Then there is a a ben pearson logo on one with rogue7058

Then there is a greenish wood with red mixed in recurve with Custom Bighorn for G**** D******* the numbers 62-S-02580 are written also.

I just couldn't find much on theses older bows and wondered if anyone knew how old they were or the history.before anyone asks, I am not selling them, I just want to learn more about them
