I was told Mathews has a bow out called a Menice or Menise not sure of the spelling. However, I am unable to find any information about it. Does anyone know if this bow really exist. From what I was told it has a set screw that you can adjust from 17" to 30" draw length and the draw weight would adjust automatic when you change the draw length. I have a 9 year old son and he loves to go out with me when I shoot my bow and he keeps asking when he can bow hunt. He has a Genesis but I would like to go with something he can use later to maybe hunt with to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They have the Mustang which starts at 19" , and a few that start at 22". I dont know of any other short length bows by mathews. i would recommend looking at the Diamond Razor Edge Bow. Excellent Weapon, Draw length adjustable from 19-29" and 30-60 lbs, no Press needed. Crazy part is at 29" 60 lbs the IBO is 308!! Thats Smoking. And its true parallel and shootin something that looks like dads bow is a important thing for a 9 y/o
There are quite a few out there, just look around. everyone seems to be offering some cool youth bows now a days.

if you simply must have a menace, you have to look at the mission archery website... but like L2D, check the razor's edge before you commit...

edit to add - my 8.5yr old has been shooting a diamond for 2 years not... he's takin it to the stand for the first time this season...

Yes, like SevenMag said, the Menace is made by Mission Archery which is owned by Mathews. They have all the info you'll need at their website.

The Menace is made by missionarchery and the way the cam is designed, the draw weight is increased with the drawlength, they're both synchronized. It has split limbs Max 4 HD camo and it felt good in my hands. I'm 14 and I ended up getting the UX2 which is a step up from the menace.

The only thing i am not diggin about these things is the incremental weight adjustment. i would fear it being under legal weight limits with the Draw length of a youth.

Our minimum Draw weight is 40 lbs, I know alot of 12 y/o's that could prob pull that, but only have a 20" draw lol

In Indiana the minimum draw weight is 35 lbs to hunt. I know he can't pull that weight back yet. I want something that he can grow with and be able to hunt with in a couple of years. Thanks for all the information so far.

Not a problem, I didn't think anything bad about your comments. I wanted everyones honest opinions and I want to thank you for giving me yours. He loves to go to the bow shop now and bowhunting/shooting is all he talks about wanting to do this season. It is hard to explain that he can't pull enough bow weight to hunt yet. Again, thank you and good luck this season.
