I done a search & turned up noth'n, was curious if anyone had any experience with the tru glo carbon sight, have read quite a few reviews & most of it was positive but sevral mentioned screws strippng out, for $50 I'm certain it aint a carbon fiber sight & probably plastic or a polymer of some type, so I can see wher it would strip out with very little presure, also kind of wundered about it just flat out break'n if dropped or knocked around while in the woods.

Anyone know much about them ??

Had one for a couple years and my friend has used one for several. Pretty tough sites, very light, pins are good and bright. My 2 gripes; Adjustments are difficult to make because finish is very grabby making it tough to move a pin a very small distance. And the pins strip very easily. IMO it's a good sight but there are others in that price range that are better. Check out Trophy Ridge Hit Man line.

Thanks a bunch, looked at some TR sights today, also a couple of the copper Johns, I need something thats reasonably priced, simple & dependable, just a sturdy basic sight is all.

The HitMan 3 and 5 will fit that bill. I think the 3 is $55 and the 5 is $70. Do enough searching around and you can get them cheaper I think I got my Hit Man 5 for $50. Copper John makes good stuff too.

The Tru Glo's are junk IMO. I have played with several junk junk junk. Last one snapped clean in half just trying to tighten the windage adjustment. Check out Montana Black Gold sights. Brightest pins around, rock solid constuction, and reasonably priced.

Yeah if your prone to dropping stuff and decide to stay in that price range find stuff made if decent metal and aluminum. Although my friend I hunt ran his bow over with his jeep on accident and everything survived somehow.

Sounds like some people have had some pretty bad luck. I agree the adjustments have not been the smoothest but I have not had any problems with mine at all.

I am not expert, but my top 3 choices are Spot Hogg, Sure Loc, and Black Gold. I have a dinky Fuse sight right now, but when I upgrade those three brands are where I am looking.

Yeah it's not carbon fiber. It's a "carbon composite" (plastic/carbon). Very lightweight and very tough durability-wise. It's an ok sight for the money though. I've used it but upgraded to an apex aluminum framed sight. The 'soft touch' coating is a nice idea but they shouldn't have coated the adjustment surfaces. Makes it hard to adjust elevation, windage and pins because the coating "grabs" so well.
