Why? Can you give me a reason that makes it any more heinous of a crime? Just curious. There are several states that allow baiting/feeding, so basically he broke a local regulation. I'm not defending him, I'm just pointing out that it is a minor law, that not even every state follows.

Can you explain to me why baiting for deer is illegal, while Wisconsin allows baiting for bears?

    http://dnr.wi.gov/files/pdf/pubs/wm/wm0457.pdf

Again, I personally do not care for baiting and do not use the tactic during the season, but I do put out corn in the off season to inventory deer, which is very common and acceptable to most hunters. I just don't see why baiting for deer = bad, and baiting for bear = acceptable in the same state.

I do get it I just think it's childish and lame to pile on in a thread like this.

Rancid and I have very similair world views. Having said that he was over the top, and in your face a little too much. He is certainly a talented individual and from his postings fairly intelligent. His hypocrisy is what has alot of our members basking in his demise I would bet. After reading about 9 pages on AT about him he has certainly left a wake of animosity everywhere he has been. I think Germ still has a crush on him though.

Yes, the possible spread of disease, that's why the law exists. Also changing the patterns of the herd, just to get an advantage over his neighbors. It's something that bugs the hell out of me, if it's legal, I could care less.

I certainly don't disagree with your point about him being hypocritical. No doubt he talked a big game, and but couldn't walk the walk so to speak. It's pretty much an Epic Fail on his part.

And who's fault is that? Who put himself out there as the great noble hunter?
Do I hate the guy? No, I don't know him besides his online character. I am laughing at his online character, this is still the Internet.

Exactly, and it should be handled and reacted to tactfully. However, dirty laundry should always be taken care of so others learn from it. :) I also loved how you said something like "Guess I'll always be the man I was at my worst". While I disagree with that like you do, it is that very thought that I never let myself forget. It causes me to be a better person, husband, friend and well anything really.

He was on the board of directors for Wisconsin's biggest bowhunting organization, the WBH. He baited in a CWD zone where it has been illegal to bait in for years because of the spread of CWD. He killed a deer and it fell into the bait pile. The members of WBH are up in arms over this matter, he deserves everything he has got coming his way and more! Yes, I am a member of the WBH and he was my district director!

In my opinion, almost every one of you in here is pathetic. Almost.

You have one group who wants to bash and bash a guy and another who wants to tell us about how perfect they are and do no wrong.

The first group is has a point, because he did put himself on a pedestal, but is just as bad because they can't control their joy of another man being torn down.

The second group is laughable. I have known this type for a long time and in the end, they have some of the worst dirty laundry hiding at the bottom of their basket.

I have a pretty good feeling I'll be locking this thread soon.

I get that it bugs you, I don't care for it either. I just don't put it in the same class as poaching or trespassing, or stealing. That's I feel comparing it to speeding is appropriate. Both are laws out to help protect our safety or in this example the deer herds safety.

He is a fraud, and I think he's a tool. I think my father is a tool sometimes, lol. I laughed at him when he got busted twice for not tagging a deer. I don't hate him.;)

    He is a fraud.

He had to give up his position, publically embarassed himself, paid the fine, been ripped up by his many admirerers(is that a word?). Just curious, what else does he "deserve"?
