Has anyone in indiana seen any signs of the rut yet? I haven't been in the woods much yet. Waiting on the rut to kick in. I somehow have managed to even leave my trailcam out for several weeks because I don't want to disturb anything. Thanks guys

I have not seen anything yet... I still have a lot of standing corn around me though and I think the deer are staying in there.... But when the corn comes out strap in and hold on!!

    Good Luck

The pre-rut has hit hard here in our area. Lots of bucks on their feet during daylight as they hit scrape lines and such. It's heating up and i'm buck tagged out already...living through my dad's buck quest!

I'm in Central Indiana, a little over an hour from Vincennes. We're getting really close here. A friend said he has seen some buckst starting to chase does and the bucks at my place have rubbed the trees down pretty hard in the last week and a half. Also, they're getting closer to daytime activity, coming out just after sundown and disappearing right before sun up. I've seen a few bucks during the day but they're just little 4 and 6 pointers.
Over the weekend I was down in Rising Sun hunting all weekend and that place was dead. I didn't see a deer let alone any signs of rut.
By the end of the week it should be game on, come about Monday. There are going to be 2 warm spells (today and sunda), then the temp should plunge into the mid 50s during the day and mid/low 30s at night.

Also, I did find the deer that's been rubbing my place down and his neck is pretty swollen up pretty good.

We're seeing some smaller bucks pushing the does, so I think it's heating up. Not fully there quite yet, I don't think. This guy showed up just before 4:00. The buck came running 300+ yards across the field to check out the "doe".

Yea in SE Indiana, I've seen some small bucks pushing does but also saw the MONSTER I've been chasing for 3 years, at 11:45am this past sunday. The next week or so should be intense..

My dad's been on stand this morning sending texts left and right of bucks chasing does and chasing other bucks off. One is a huge 150class buck that is locked down with a doe and has been pushing all other bucks away all morning. He just had another nice buck come flying by with a doe at full sprint at 10:15....boys get up those trees if you have a buck tag left!

Went the last two days near Ft. Wayne. Saw some small bucks that acted they were interested but no big boys cruising around during the day. I am seeing alot of scrapes that weren't there before.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim
