    Also, does anyone know what this is? Private land within the forest? I know it’s common, digital maps can be sketchy with what is owned by who...

    Elkinsville is nasty terrain- you better have some stout 4 wheel drives if you plan on getting back in there and don't go alone. Take two trucks to make sure you get out!

    Eats - Sargent Rick's - Freetown, Hitching Post -Norman
    Small Grocery store/gas/sandwiches - Denny's Freetown

    I bumped a buck in the south fork marsh Wednesday but duck season is starting. Couldn’t tell how big he was.

    I’m just happy you didn’t get a room at the Motel 6 in Bton. Those suggesting that roach hole are obviously from out of town.

    Have you looked at the Morgan-Monroe State Forest at all?

    It wasn’t bad when I stayed there. I’ve stayed in a lot worse traveling for work.

    The room itself might have been fine, but the clientele at that place is seedy at best.
