Indiana poised to allow the use of rifles during the general gun season

    I'm not too excited about it. It's bad enough people use shotguns irresponsibly, now they get to be irresponsible with something with a much higher capacity at a longer range.
    It won't matter much for state land. Most of that is heavily wooded and you're not going to be shooting 200 yards.
    I do have a stand it would be neat to be able to shoot a long shot out of but in all reality, I'd prefer to just thwack'em with an arrow.

    In all reality, it may help the numbers slightly. Most people won't be able to practice to have the ability to shoot a deer 300 yards out in the middle of a field anyways.
