Newbie here again with another dumb question I am sure. Eventually in the next month or so, after some more practice, I want to increase the draw weight of my bow two or three pounds.

It is a 2006 Hoyt Ultratec XT2000, how do i go about doing this, is it the two screws that attach the limbs? And how much do I need to turn them?

I basically am just looking for a little flatter trajectory out of my arrow, because at 20 yards I am experiencing some drop maybe 4-6".

The bow is adjustable between 60-70lbs, and it pulls 59.5lbs on the scale right now, so its turned all the way down. I had it turned all the way down due to some shoulder pain, and it was easier for me to practice a whole bunch in one day being new to shooting a bow.

With that bow set at almost #60, at 20yrds trajectory should be a non issue. Also, if too much weight gave you shoulder pain before, why add weight again?

The answer to your question is yes; you turn the limb bolts in. One complete turn should get you about 2 pounds.

You need to watch the spine of your arrows and tuning any time you make weight adjustments.
