Shoot me a pm if you want to discuss it. I really tried to like this movie, and I thought the first half was good. It was a unique concept. The second half started to lose my attention. I don't mind long movies if they can keep me interested the whole way. If the film cut out half way through for whatever reason, I would have left happy and couldn't wait to see the rest. I agree, not the plot of a 10 year old. For the record, I don't care for mindless explosion flicks.
Feel free to insert your own pre-cursor to the " - fiction" suffix. Doesn't change why I'm not even mildly interested (and shouldn't affect anyone else's opinion of the genre or film).
Ok, I guess since you posted in a thread, I thought you were interested, my bad. Hooker, like you the length of the movie was fine with me.
It wasn't the overall length of the movie that I had an issue with, it was what they did during that time. I have no issue watching a long movie if its all thriller and no filler. I thought the second half had a little too much filler. The first half made you think, and I think the second half turned too much into an action movie.
I'm interested in what interests others (I don't have to understand it). I never saw ET, either. I hear a lot of folks loved it.
I wasn't the source of any of that. I was mearly the messanger. I heard two critics blast it on TV, went online and found the other remarks about 10 year old etc etc etc. From what I heard and read I figure it's OK for me to not put this movie up there with The Godfather or something classic.
At least he didn't mention the Dukies winning the national championship. :D Did I just open the door? Uh oh...
Nope.... it's getting too close to college football season. We Dukies tend to try and maintain a low profile at this time of year. LOL
