Thank you to the three guys that stopped and lent me a knife. I wouldn't be in the stand if they hadn't. Took my knife out of my bag to wash the bag . Forgot to put it back in. Thanks so much again that was awesome :D

What's the knife needed for to get you in stand?

No to gut the deer if I kill one. I live to far away to go back if I made the shot. Not that cold here.

That is what I do too. A 4" fillet knife is small & easy to store in the glove compartment or the center console on some trucks.
You can not only gut your deer with that small knife you can completely process the deer with it believe it or not.

Funny i never gut deer in the woods, it's just easy for me to take the deer to the barn where I have a water hose and a lift to hang my deer from. But it's great that there are guys willing to help a person out.

The day was dead they didn't see any deer. He left me a note on my uncle's truck with his number. Hid his knife and my number near a landmark it was awesome of them to help. Thanks for the advice on carrying more than one. I use my uncle's truck to hunt. I can't leave a knife so I am going to put one on my belt and one in the bag.

Between my truck & pack I must have about 6-10 knives floating around. One year I ended up gutting a doe with a small buck pocket knife. Not my best experience ever.....
