Anybody happen to have a 5/16x24 stud? I bent the Allen head stud that attaches my bee stinger sport hunter stabilizer to the bow riser. I called the customer service line, but they told me this isn’t sold as a separate part.. And while i can still make do, this should be an easier fix than fabricating a part…
Tractor supply , Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, or fastener store would be the quickest. I think the auto parts stores would have them without the allen heads.
HD and Lowe’s are useless. 5/16-24 threads. I was in Lowe’s, one guy didn’t know what a stud was, the other started looking in wood screws. Fastenal is closed till Monday, Grainger will sell me a 12’ threaded rod that will arrive in a week… Thx for the ideas though
Just buy a 5/16-24 bolt, then cut the head off. They also have full thread bolts in the little slide out drawers. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Also car part stores will have the bolts also. Like advanced auto and auto zone. But i know Lowes, home depot have them also. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Exactly what I ended up doing, though neither HD nor Lowe’s had a usable bolt. Went to ye old hardware store that had just one. :eyeroll:
When asking for it, ask for 5/16-24 all thread rather than stud, can normally get it by the foot and cut to length. Studs are normally press fit or have a non threaded section in the center to thread into a taper locked threaded hole. Stud is probably not pulling up anything im their queries. Use a bit of red loctite whem you assemble, will locknin place but still able to separate if needed in the future. https://www.acehardware.com/departm...7QFWQvI1WolYEd228KPPnHAKF9R1lgEBoCzswQAvD_BwE https://www.grainger.com/product/10..._Q7oQr7x6IN_U3MzW1kAUNT35i7jUqAhoCKSkQAvD_BwE
Its the way of the world now. When i got to go pick up materials for a job, rarely get everything i need at one store. Usually takes 3 stores, haha Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
In case you didn’t find a good solution, here are some stainless studs from Conquest. https://conquestarchery.com/5-16-24-threaded-stainless-steel-set-screw/
