I am looking for a good starter bow that I can use to hunt, I am 14 and I have had a 25 pound and 25 draw length compound bow i used for target shooting, but is starting to get kind of weak. I am 5,8 and am looking for a bow that isn't too weak and not too hard to pull back to use when I hunt that is also a good price like 200$ or less, any suggestions?

I don't think you can buy a bow under $200 to hunt with new. You're better off looking for somethign used if that's your limit.

Like r0scoe said, you won't find anything new for that price. Look at the Mission bows. They have a couple of models that can be adjusted from 15-70 lbs.

yeah... 200 bucks doesn't hardly fill the gas tank on a truck twice these days. You might find a new bow for $200 somewhere in the world, but you will not find a new bow that's worth hunting with for $200. Like others have said you'd be far better off to buy a used bow for $200 or $300. Good luck out there!

Sell some blood and semen and you could wrangle another $100 or so I bet

    Or have an impromptu carwash

Syndicate, glad you're getting into bow-hunting! Like mentioned in the comments above, you'll be hard pressed to find something new in that range. that said you can find used stuff around that mark. Just be careful. We have alot of used packages around the shop our bow technician has inspected, tested and repaired that would serve anyone well. buying online could be dangerous and you might end up with something that will cost you ALOT more than $200 in the long run. (consider putting a new string on a bow could easily be $100+) Plus, the bow has to fit you...Mission makes good bows that will adjust over the years in draw lengths and poundage. remember too, the more you grow and the more poundage you want, you will need different arrows over time. the long and short of it? Bow hunting is an investment, but its ok to start off with GOOD used bow, alot of us got started with hand me downs.
