So tomorrow starts my season off! My second season bow hunting! I will be using a Matthews SQ2 Solo Cam. It has a pendulum sight, whisker biscuit, and a true fire release. I shoot carbon express arrows with 100 grain spit fire broad heads. I picked up all my gear and I'm ready to roll. I bought a bin of sugar beets, a game camera and I hope this season I will get my first buck! They are kind of rare in South Jersey, well at least where I hunt lol but I hope it turns out to be a good new spot where I'm at. There are alot of good signs. Is there anyone else jersey? But anyway I'm kind of new to the site but everyone seems really great! ALOT of people in NJ act like they have a chip on their shoulder but I'm def not one of those ppl and enjoy talking to fellow hunters! Oh and another thing how do I get my gf to start hunting hahaha

I wish I knew, I think I have convinced mine to start shooting a bow. She wants me to kill the deer, but said if I ever took her she'd tell the deer to run. Also said, "Can you see my sitting still and quiet for hours?". I think she may be on to something there. My season starts on Thursday! The only thing that sucks is I'm getting my bottom wisdom teeth pulled on opening day at 11am. So, I have to rush back in to get my teeth pulled, and then I get to sit in the stand all afternoon without pain medicine (I'm not that stupid). Maybe I can get the doc to put a bit extra numbing in...
I got mine hunting with muzzleloader last year and bow this year!!! I told her that I was going to by my new Invasion or she was going to buy a bow to hunt this year. I was hoping shed say for me to buy my bow and I was wrong. Oh well at least shes hunting now!
haha nice my gf loves cooking and eating the deer but im in the same boat when i ask her to come shes like "noo i dont wanna see him get killed its mean"(while eating a deer sausage n pepper sandwich... haha i just laugh
but hey at least she like shopping with me for clothes, stand, etc when i buy my gear shes like "ohh get this shirt and these pants they match and it looks goood on u".... lmao and shes one hell of a cook..
Good luck on your opener! 3 more weeks for me. My girlfriend is getting her first bow tomorrow and wants to start doing 3d shoots with me. So today I got in the stand around 430 and sat until 745 and I only saw 1 doe and she was a little to far away but I dont even have a pile down and tomorrow a pile of sugar beets, rage acorns, amd some vanilla extract will be put out along with the game cam!
