ive got multiple trail cam videos and confirmation from other hunters... Looks like the ruts starting to pick up here in the last week. figured ide just post a quick note. seems a little early to me given the warm weather weve been having , but when you got bucks chasing does i guess its happening.... Happy hunting..

I would consider this "pre-rut" - Scrapes/rubs popping up all over.

Too early there may be behavior but the does are not near breeding.

I've yet to see a scrape or a rub. I'll be going in shortly, so maybe I'll see something new.

Heading up North tomorrow to hunt this weekend. Been two weeks since I've been up, looking forward to seeing whats on camera and changes in the woods. Leaves were falling pretty constantly two weeks ago (amazing how much noise a leaf makes falling from a tree).

would like to see more than a buck fawn this time.

Definitely too early. You will bucks harassing other deer that makes it seem like rutting activity. Definitely fun to watch but not the rut yet. In the next 2 weeks you should start to see scrapes showing up which is a perfect spot to hunt to catch them checking it or opening it up.

It's way to early for that. It's biological and has nothing to do with the weather. Scrapes and rubs happen a lot in the pre rut and post rut. Wishful thinking but not reality
