On December 11, 25 years ago I flew into Parris Island to begin my 87 days of hell. I remember it like yesterday. I recall waking up Christmas morning and being on the squad deck with the whole platoon at 0400 am. The drill instructor says to us, " what does USMC stand for" of course one recruits yells, "United States Marine Corps." the DI shakes hos head and says, " nope, it means U Suckas Miss Christmas." and we spent the next 3 hours scrubbing the squad bay floor on our hands and knees. I would not trade those memories for anything in the world. Congrats on completing boot camp, memories of a lifetime, and many more to be made when you hit the fleet.
Welcome to the real brotherhood!! Take a good look around before you leave things are about to change.
Thanks guys ! I am on my way home now. I was scribe the whole time because I had a college degree. It sucked, but it was worth every second of pain! Turns out I planned it perfect with the holidays instead of 10 days I have 30 until I have to report to ITB! I did well in everything I had a 300 CFT and a 282 PFT, I shot a 233/250 on Table 1 and 95/100 on table 2. Looking forward to getting back in a tree and of course hitting the gym I lost so much mass!
