Hey everyone, I'm just getting back into bowhunting again, after 35 years. Watching all the bowhunting on TV all winter long. I pulled out my old Kodiak Mag, ordered a new string some arrows and started shooting. After watching the guys at the range with the compounds. Got me a Stinger at hunters friend. Now I'm HOOKED, did some turkey hunting this spring. Didn't shoot an arrow, and .I had a blast Now I can't wait to get out for deer. I shoot say 30 arrows a day at only 12 yards at home after work. It helps just to shoot. Love the Stinger and the Hind sight is great. Wish I had a 30 yards range. I felt like a wimp when I first got the bow set at 65lbs, I had to go down to 60 and work my way up. I been enjoying the forum. Good luck to all. Ed
Welcome back Do not worry about poundage at all.Todays nows at 50# shoot as hard as bows of yesteryear at 70# and 80#.The main thing is being able to put the arrow in the middle. I have been hunting in the 50#-60# range for years and have yet had it cost me a deer..2 years ago I was at 53# dud to shoulder issues and killed my best buck to date.I usually hang out around 58#'s with plenty of passthroughs.
