Problems? Like it ? wish you would have gotten a different one ? Budget is 300. Don't need something fancy, its just something to tinker around with at home with a deer or two. Thanks

I got a 1 1/2 hp grinder off ebay for like $250 I think. All metal parts, no plastic to break or wear down. Came with two grinding plates, two blades, stuffing horn, etc. The grinder is more than I actually need, as I only process 10-15 deer on average each year.

LEM 3/4 HP. Simply the best grinder on the market. I've had mine for 5 or 6 years now and the thing runs like brand new. I can't even begin to count how much meat has gone through that thing.

I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer w/ the grinder attachment. Can easily handle 10# of grinding. If you're doing entire deer, then you probably want something a little better designed.

BUT, if you already have a stand mixer, the grinder costs less than $100. And if you don't have a stand mixer, then your wife probably wants one, so you can make her happy and you happy.

Only 10-15 deer? That's a lot of venison you must feed an army.

I got the $100 one from gander mtn and its been great. I've run maybe 10 deer through it and I've run 100's and 100's of ducks and geese through it in the past 3-4 years. I broke a blade on a steel pellet one time when running a bunch of ducks through it and now keep a spare blade. Luckily since getting the blade I haven't needed it.
This is the one I have and its on sale right now!

I also use a kitchenaid with the grinder attachment. I usually grind 20 to 30 lbs of meat at a time.
