Like the title says I'm going to Florida. My self and a few of my buddies just booked a flight. We are flying into Orlando at the end of July and we are looking for a condo to rent out. We had Coco beach in mind but if you know some beach areas close to Orlando let me know. We will be there from the 27th-31st and would like to keep in on the cheap side like 100-200 per night. Also if have any suggestions for me to do while I'm there let me know because this is my first time going to florida so I'm open to pretty much anything. Im really excited to go it should be a great trip.
We will be down in PCB next week. Unfortunately ive never been to Orlando so im no help. I do get to go Ocean fishing for the first time though! Pretty pumped about that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
If you have the money and time, look into going fishing for Wahoo! By far the best tasting fish I have ever had!!!
I'll be sure to look into it. I have thinking about doing some fishing down there. Sent from my iPhone
search VRBO - The Most Popular Vacation Rental Site in the US for condos...very good prices and options. Cocoa beach is closest to Orlando from what I know - we did day trip to Cocoa when I was there in 2009 - plan to do again. Nice beach - rented a large shade umbrella and boogie board for $10 each I believe...had a great day. That was my last serious sun burn and I've promised to never get burned again...still sweat thinking about it. We were down there for Disney & SeaWorld so that is what we focused on. I did deep sea fish once out of Pensacola years ago - I'd highly recommend...real adventure not knowing what you might pull up from the deep each time...and being out where you can see nothing but water in all directions...I hope to do again with my kids once a little older. Otherwise - plan for HOT & humid, and daily rain showers...
Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to check that site out. We figured it was going to hot and humid so we are ready for it. It was the only time that work for all of us. Sent from my iPhone
Sorry to hear that...just kidding Florida is alright. If you are renting a condo check this site out. HomeAway: Vacation Rentals, Beach Houses, Cabins & More
I fly to Florida about monthly for work and worked in jacksonville for about 1.5 years. That being said I am no fan of the state for a myriad of reasons. That being said, the outdoor recreation can be second to none. However, I would skip going east to Cocoa and make the extra drive west to Tampa area beaches. There are less waves but the fishing can be awesome and if you like unspoiled natural beaches try Caladesi State Park. You will think you are in the Caribbean. Google it. A little further south is Siesta Beach. Its about 2.5 hours from Orlando. Again, unspoiled beaches and nice water. Book a condo in the Kissimmee area and you will already be on the south west side of Orlando and that much closer to the Gulf. Cocoa is OK but its the same type of Atlantic water as SC and NC beaches. Since you are going that far, google my suggestions. I promise they are worth the drive. I would think without traffic they may be even closer.
Is it just a guys weekend out thing then? I'd say fly into West Palm Beach and stay in Delray Beach at the Marriott on Atlantic Ave and A1A. It right across the street from the ocean. Atlantic Ave has lots of stuff going on and you take some drift boats out for the town next door for fishing or charter a open fishermen. I'll pm you my Cell# if you want to chat more about what to do. Not a big fan of Cocoa Bch. It's kind of old school fl but it is on the beach. Orlando is great if your going to Disney world but it will be HOT
Afflicted I'll be sure to get into contact with you. Justin we may be a little insane. But like I said before it's the only time we all could get off work. It's harder for them to being paramedics to get off so we took what we could. Sent from my iPhone
