Pulled my cards for the second time, they were only out about a week and I had about 1500 pics. Here's some of the better ones.
Something I never really noticed or payed attention to but a lot of those deer are looking right at the camera. I guess they can see or hear the IR flash? Maybe the camera makes a click when it takes a picture? I know my cheaper wildgame innovations cams make a quiet "click" when they take a picture.
I believe they see the flash. I have the cam set to take 3 pics at a time. usually the first picture will have the deer looking in the area, but then they see the red glow and look at it closer. They are curious animals. I don't have very many pictures of deer being spooked by it. Here's a story I hate to admit, but last season I took a shot at a nice buck out in an open field. I thought he was at 30 yards. I was wrong and he was farther out. The arrow went right under his belly. He jumped, ran off a bit and turned and looked, only to see the glowing luminok(it was fairly close to dusk so it glowed pretty bright). That deer turned and walked right back to where I shot at him and stuck his nose on the luminok. Buck fever had gotten me, and I did the same damn thing, shot right under him. Again, hate to admit that, but it is a pretty cool story about their curiosity level.
I also only choose the best poses. I have about 1300 pics from this cam pull where they were not looking at the camera
