All BS aside, I've always said -- I'm a fan of your hunting. I am.

    Congratulations on a FINE buck.

Congrats NY - that's a great bow buck. Got any recovery shots from the ravine? We got a couple like that around my area..

Thanks everyone. I'll post some better pics later. To put things in perspective (aside from dangerous weather or severe sickness) this is the first hunt I've missed in as far as I can remember. I dont' remember the last time not hunting a morning and afternoon hunt. Maybe ever. I woke up and my body just said no way dude lol. I'll be out this afternoon on doe patrol and trying like heck to get my kid a deer.

Thanks buddy. And yeah ...... the Yanks are done. Oh well.

Yeah I was pretty bothered by passing him. Still can't believe he offered me another chance that night.

I have to get the kid a deer. Going to try as hard as I can to get him a shot. I'm picking him up every afternoon after school and on weekends. Lot of good setups with a lot of deer out there. He should get it done I'm hoping. Man that would be so sweet.

EXTREMELY sweet deer - especially given the circumstances and "history" you had with him... congratulations!

Good job on the buck. I have managed to stick some nice ones over the years, but this year I am trying something new. I am not using any game cameras. This way I don't pass on a good buck I don't know, in hopes of the 7 year old making the first mistake of his life! Congrats again. I can tell you, each time I sit in the stand its a little more interesting when you don't know who or what will show up.
