It's 2:54 a.m. and i'm on the computer as my knee has decided to lock up and throb as much as possible, haven't slept yet tonight. Tried 2 different chairs, the couch, and my bed three or four times. My 3 month old should be waking up within the hour to eat and then it's only an hour and a half after that, that it's time to get ready for work. Man I'm trying to fight through this sh*t as I have 7 turkey tags and a doe tag left but many more nights like this and off to the surgeon I go....

Tore my meniscus on Aug 14th and trying to get through hunting season.

Well that didn't make me feel any better but..... beer me

Had the tear in my meniscus repaired this summer. Doc told me it wouldn't make the knee feel any better after reading the MRI. Says I need a total knee replacement and not to expect too much from the repair. He was right. I've taken the next step and had him order a series of shots. Takes a couple weeks for them to come in. They are called Supartz. Joint fluid therapy with no drugs or surgery. Should help out for an extended period of time.
Supartz theraphy is a solution made of highly purified sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronan or HA). Hyaluronan is a natural chemical found in the body and in joint tissues and fluid (synovial fluid) that fills the joints. The body's own hyaluronan acts like a lubricant and shock absorber in synovial fluid of a healthy joint. The goal of Supartz therapy is to supplement the poor quality HA in a painful knee with additional highly purified HA. One injection in the knee once a week for up to 5 injections.
