Wow, that's new. I know there are some down south, but I've never seen them. If I do, I would arrow the beast in a heartbeat.

Hey there fellow Illinois hunters, i am just starting to branch out and explore this site more. I would love to find more hunters near myself to discus everything that is what i would call very local (crops, weather, temp, rut, etc). I hope that everyone has had a very safe season to this point and many more prosperous days to come. Enjoy!

Yea supposedly they're in couple counties in southern IL. DNR has been trying to get them knocked out before they really take off.

Checked cams today and got some unexpected pics of some bobcats. Seen one while back in person but haven't ever gotten pics. So that was kinda neat. No bucks really so hopefully that picks up some and doesn't mean they moved to different property.

I have hunted Adams County my entire life and have never seen a bobcat. My buddy has seen one from one of my stands but that is it!

Checked my camera today. I had a nice group of fat does and a small fork horn buck in there this week. Looks like we are sitting that spot on Sat. morning. Hopefully my daughter or I will put our first on the ground this weekend.

Friday evening, Sat evening and Sun morning we or I am hunting public land. C'mon full moon and cooler temps. Work your magic.

Hunted Morgan County on Sunday night and both morning and evening on Monday. I saw maybe 30 does. Some could have been the same does at different times, who knows. I saw one large buck from the opposite side of the field. He stood under that stand I was in the night before. I saw zero scrapes and zero rubs? Trailcams were packed with does! Only done 90 minutes in my Sangamon County stands and zero time at Sangchris but it is coming. My football season never lets me hunt!

Thats cool, I used to coach Wrestling at Unity and it always put a damper on my hunting season. One of your wrestling coaches is actually a (Tolono) Unity Alum.

Quimby? The head wrestling coach and I hunt together a lot. The coyote in my profile was from one of our hunts

Ha yea I always used to kinda of make fun of people that said they seen them running around. Now I've actually seen one and got pics on camera. I'd say they won't be so rare within couple years but guess ya never know.

Is it legal to shoot the hog if we do see one? I've not seen any, but you never know.
