Well, you do have to pay for a atv/utv/dirtbike sticker out here. But then you can drive them about anywhere. I could easily drive an atv from my house to the mountains then check the mail and grab a burger all legally. :) [IMG]Not an uncommon sight. A UTV in the parking lot. Note the mule deer mount in the store. There are some monster muleys in there.

Still can't ride them on public roads inless its farm use. Stupid stickers are just to ride them on your own land.

You should probably film her and take some notes! She has been known to put down some giants in the past! Sure you will learn a lot from her!

I would be happy to do that. As long as he puts me on a nice buck ;) if she makes it back I'm sure we could figure something out.

Whats worse is all of the farmers around my area will be hitting the fields today because the local COOP has put up half priced drying. The deer are going to be running around like crazy right now from field to woods and none of us are there to enjoy the movement.

I cant believe how many fields are cut already. Last year it was late October before they were getting cut up by me.

That's one good thing I have on farm I hunt, my buddy who owns it doesn't get in a big hurry to shell corn. So hopefully they'll all come my way looking for cover. There's people shelling everywhere though so the deer are moving.

This will be a long week until the first but I'll definitely be in a tree opening morning.

Around my area in East central IL there aren't very many fields cut yet. I would say maybe 1 percent. I see your north of I-80 and things are always "different" in that part of the state. :hater:

I supposed if the fields are cut this early the hunting may not be too bad in Oct. Cutting down the crops means deer will actually have to get up and look for food/ travel. Cleaning up whatever is left over in the fields, then browsing in the woodlots.
