I was pulled over in Bond county on the highway, 78 in a 65. What is the deal with the supervision to remove the infraction. I filled out the request online, just wondering what if anything I can expect.

Never had it, but from what I understand, you pay double to have court supervision for 2 years and have it then removed from your record- and if you get ticketed again within that time frame you get stuck with having both the first and second tickets on your record.

    I could be wrong though...

I'm pretty sure you don't pay double. I've had it a couple different times, although its been several years ago. Just asked to have supervision and as long as u don't get pulled over and ticketed in the time they give you it won't go on your record.

Honestly though unless your a resident or if has to do with job I would just pay it. The only reason I say that because if you get so many speeding tickets in a years time you'll lose your liscense, if resident. Although that may of changed but I know a couple years ago my boss got two right off the bat at the beginning of year and if he woulda got another one his license would been suspended.

And I say if your not a resident I wouldn't worry because it may not even show up on your records anyway. Illinois is weird about license records.

Well i got a response from Illinois state attorneys office. For $320 i can go on 90 days supervision. The actual ticket is $120. I called my state motor vehicle dept and they said that all out of state tickets to get put on my record. So I called my insurance company, they told me that because I am a mutual policy holder( i believe because I have not had an infraction in over 10 years) they only pull my record every three years, and i had just switched to this company in Oct, so basically it will not show for 3 years on my insurance. I believe they only affect your insurance for 3 years so that will have minimal costs associated with it. Think i am just going to pay the fine. Just thought I would post in case someone else is in similair position
