    Need witness slips filed again

A wave if new gun bills going through the committee hearings tomorrow, most are favorable but a couple are despicable. It's easiest to follow this link, has instructions on filling them out and hyperlinks to each bill to fill out for saying whether proponent or opponent.

Simplest way is to register and it will auto fill all your info, all you then need to do is click proponent/opponent and appearance only. Will take less than 5 seconds each that way. Anyone 12 and older can fill them out, the more the merrier!

I hit all these yesterday. If I am in town for IGOLD I will be attending, it all depends on work though. If I am able to make it over we should all grab lunch somewhere ( I miss Magic Kitchen since I moved from Springfield, so thats my pick :) )

Another but of good news. Madigans appeal to have the ruling on IL ban on concealed carry is unconstitutional to be reheard en banc has been denied. This leaves Chicago only one option, appeal to the United States Supreme Court. No one really knows if she will or not, that appeal could affect all states not just IL.

Link to the ruling can be found here, but the site is being overwhelmed so getting in is hit or miss

There's a downloaded copy here that seems to be working, not sure if you need to be a member or not to view

A part of the dissenting opinion. Wonder if these were McCarthy's minions

"To illustrate the dangers posed by lawful use of firearms in public, consider a deadly confrontation on the streets of New York City in August 2012, when police confronted an armed man who had just shot and killed another man. The police officers were well trained in both how to shoot and when to shoot and not shoot. The officers fatally shot the gunman, but the officers’ many shots also wounded nine bystanders.1 I intend no criticism of the officers, who confronted an urgent, dangerous situation that few have experienced first-hand. We will always need armed police officers, and some harm will be unavoidable despite their training, skill, and experience. But consider how much worse the situ- ation on the crowded streets of New York might have been if several civilians, without the officers’ training but carrying firearms lawfully, had tried to help with their own firearms."

I like how they always go to this aurgument that if "highly" trained police can unintentionally shoot bystanders well then what hops does a normal person have. The illusion that police and even military are highly skilled in marksmanship is a ridiculous thought. You can look at every shootout just about where cops are involved and the amount of rounds expended without hittin the intended target are some pretty high numbers. I would venture to say most people that carry probably shoot and are more proficient with their firearms then most cops. Or you could easily end this argument and look at out of the 49 other states that have carry laws how many times does an individual get involved in a police shoot out or even start one, probably very few.

saying we dont need personal firearms to protect ourselves because we have armed police officers is the same as saying we dont need fire extinguisher because we have firemen to put out fires... BS!

Just started right before Holdt started talking. Phone wouldn't allow it for some reason.

Not sure I really want to listen to the drivel. What's he going to do if they don't act and constitutional carry becomes the way.

Like how the excuse is that the ISP or county clerks offices aren't prepared to handle the application process of a ccw.

Didnt they? I couldnt imagine being in Todd's shoes. Putting up with stupidity like that on a daily basis would really have an adverse effect on my health.
