Anyone know if Illinois still has any Non-resident Archery Antlerless tags left available for over-the-counter purchase?

Some cousins invited me out and I wanted to check before I went.

Planning on calling the DNR to find out tomorrow, but was hoping someone here would know anyways.

Pretty sure they've still got some seen a guy buy some Saturday, at least I would be pretty surprised if they didn't. Everyone always says Illinois is going to run out but I've never heard of anyone not getting one. Granted I'm a resident but I've bought doe tags all the way into Dec almost Jan b4. Jus my experience tho, I don't think a quick call would hurt.

I actually bought another buck tag after I shot my buck almost the beginning of December. That came with a doe and a buck tag. I believe Illinois always has enough tags unless they do not give that many to non-residents.

I checked with the IL DNR a month a half ago they had 14,000 non-resident archery buck permits still available. I'll be buying one saturday morning.

Called the numbers again today. Did finally get through to someone, but they said I had to call a specific number. I mentioned that I've been calling that number for two days, once every half hour and never gotten through. The response was that they were really busy and that I'd just have to keep trying.

I want to give Illinois my money, they don't seem in a hurry to take it.

DNR was off for the election. Will be off for Veterans day also. My buddy works for Illinois DNR out of Havana and he saves his vacation days to hunt and only works five days in November every year. Talk about Lucky.

If u know where your going to buy them at jus give that place a call they should be able to tell you, I've done it b4 and that's worked. It's a heck of a lot better than trying to get a hold of any state run office, seems like they have one person answering phones and 90% of time they can't answer your question when u do get somebody. Was on hold myself for an hour calling about FOID card, that's Illinois for ya.

    Here is some help...

Non-Resident Deer and Turkey Permits: The remaining non-resident 2012-13 Illinois combination archery deer permits, as well as non-resident antlerless-only archery deer permits and non-resident archery fall turkey permits are available over-the-counter (OTC) from DNR Direct license and permit vendors. Find a vendor near you at this link:
    http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/LPR/Pages/LicensePermitVendors.aspx

Got through finally, and talked with General information. Asked if they had any over-the-counter, non-resident, antlerless, archery permits left available and the response was, "Well, I'm sure there are, but let me transfer you over to archery". I then received the same general busy signal, but it's enough for me to have planned a trip to Illinois the second week in December. Hopefully, I'll be able to put a little more meat in the freezer this year.

Just curious.....what do they cost? I live in Wisconsin just across the border from IL and have had opportunities to hunt in IL but I always passed because I figured to would be too expensive.

Over the counter antlerless only tags are $25. The either sex tags are what's expensive for non resident. You also haveta have non resident license which for five days is 35.
