Its rifle youth doe season this weekend in MN, I will be wearing orange walking out to my stand but taking it off when i get up in the tree, because I KNOW there will be nobody hunting in my area since its our family farm.
this early...i dont no if thats a good thing or not..... For you bowhunters it might stur things up a little bit, however it will give it plenty of time to die down before your own gun season... here in ohio..youth week is a week before our gun season...late november...
It doesn't really bother anything in our area. There may be one or two youth hunters within a couple miles of where I hunt so I don't think it will effect much.
Was sending out reminders today to dad/buddies...I do not like having to wear it, but sure doesn't affect anything - you just feel not so Ninja like. I did shoot one two years ago with bow and full orange on...definitely took off for the pics though
Good reminder. Don't know how many youths/parents will be out in my area this weekend though unless they want to wade mud and high creeks.
I've got 3 lil' Illinois Youth Hunters I'm takin' out tomorrow. A cold front is pushing through that will drop to the temps to high 20's, low 30's and the wind and rain is going to give way to party sunny.... it should be an awesome weekend for some deer hunting. All 3 of my kids will be carrying T/C .50 cal muzzleloaders and they are all pumped up and ready to get at it! Good luck to all of you bowhunters but especially to those of you who will be taking a kid hunting!
