Is the entry fee per boat or per person? We may try and make it up to one shoot this summer, not sure which one yet though. I have a TN and KY fishing license already, so we are trying to stay down in these two states for most shooting, but one trip up farther north would be fun.
Trevor, we charge per person for the regular part of the tourney and then it's $10 per team for the big fish pot. If you came up to the Grand Chain shoot on the Ohio River, that's a fun shoot that will have a big fish pot but no other entry fees. Lots of bigheads and grassies there. Of course, it depends on river conditions so we won't know how good/bad it might be until July rolls around. The tourney on Rend is usually our big numbers shoot. In a normal year it takes over 340 fish to take first place. Last year, it was so cold and so rainy that we only took 244 fish for the entire tournament! Yikes. Jim, I hear you. We get folks from MO, IN and KY to our shoots but I wouldn't expect someone to haul a boat up from TX. We are thinking about hauling our boat down there tho'. Maybe get some hog hunting and bowfishing mixed together.
