So I filmed this footage last season and I put all the footage together of Tank 12 Buck from 2010.
I was filming with my older Sony camera and a new camera arm.
I hate that Video Pads upload will only allow 10 minute video uploads to Youtube, I had over 20 minutes of footage of Tank 12 Oh well I sliced and diced what I could and left the rest on the editing floor.

He had an enormous body with a rounded hanging gut and a thick swaggering neck that melts into his chest.

Now any guesses on what Tank 12 will score and what age ?

Nope, I just grazed her belly...good thing I didnt shoot the buck, although I did end up killing her in the late season, hunting from a log on the ground in a thicket. She was very easy to distinguish since when she came in on Oct 1st she had a very small spotted fawn that was only knee high to her, and then she came in late season and her fawn still had the spots.
    Here her pic

    Wow. Great footage.

How high up were you and how did he not scent you? Wind in your face?

My heart was pounding just watching him that close.

Awesome footage! I think you did extremely well with the filming considering it was your first time and also considering what was in front of you. Also, I respect the fact that you didn't take the shot at the buck because you were unsure of your shot on the doe. Great job all around! :tu:

Thanks, I don't own a climber but maybe I should.

Sorry, I'm not up on scoring or age enough to even guess. I guess even Bucks think women smell good.

Deb how ya been? Since nobody will guess ill go out on a limb. Im guessing around 132". He does have good mass around the bases but short tined. He is a Tank (well named) Im guessing his age @ 4.5. Dam nice footage and kudos to you for holding off not knowing if the Doe was dead first. Your a good egg, I dont care what Christine say's :tu: That Buck is a stud and man how many times can you get a Buck like that to stick around for so long. Thanks for posting!

Nice buck. I would guess its around 135" and about 3.5 yrs old being thats its from Illinois. I too respect how you didn't take the shot on that buck. It's good to see hunters giving us a good name......I would have been shaking like a leaf with him staring at me just waiting me out. Good thing you weren't at full draw b/c he was ready to wait.

    Dan Ive been great !
I as well think based on his body that he is 4.5 but Im not sure on the rack.. I think I have looked at the buck and footage so much that I cant realy seem to step back from it with fresh unbiased eyes, so I will rely on others fresh eyes from a different perspective to give me an un biased opinion on his score.
Christine is the Chicken Lady Egg Expert, I'll have to ask her how I rate :)

So cool you got that footage though. Makes me want to start filming my hunts.
Problem is I don't need any more to think about in the field :)

Its really dosent seem like its much more to think about just filming.. but when it comes to filming a kill, well that seems to be way more to think about and I myself have yet to film one of my kills... so far its been to much to try and film the kill and shoot at the same time.
Maybe just more practice with my new camera arm is what I need in the field to be able to film one of my kills :)

I am currently working on editing some footage I got last november while Doe Bow Hunting of a 3 Legged Buck guarding a hot doe.

Good buck. Too bad you couldnt release an arrow. Good luck with him. Im guessing low 130's on this guy. Good bases but short tines. A shooter in my book.
