Well my number one buck disappeared from all my cameras back in late October. I assumed a neighbor shot him and I just never was told about it. After a friend gut shot a buck and didn't recover it, I set a couple of cameras up in areas where I never run any. In hopes of catching a pic of his buck surviving the bad shot. (We assumed he was gut shot). One camera is over on the neighbor where I farm a little 18 acre field back a half mile in the brushy coal dumps. I forgot I set that camera up until today. I went and pulled the card and found out my big clean 10 point has been living over there. He just found the least pressured piece of property he could find and moved there over season. He made it through all the seasons and looks to be in fine health. On another note the gut shot buck I mentioned was also found today by the hunter. He had gone a lot further east than we looked, he found him today 50 yards further north east than we looked. He traveled about 300 yards from where he was shot. Head was in good shape, he took the antlers. It wasn't all that big a buck, maybe upper 120's 9 point. Here's the nice ten point that made it. I'm tickled pink!!!!
Maybe you will catch up with him next year. It's always great to see a buck we've been watching has survived. Blessings..........Pastorjim
