A couple new bills were introduced to basically require conservation to have probable cause just like any other law enforcement agency in order to enter private land and conduct searches HB5894. Second one limits their confiscation powers for lesser offenses HB5706.

Have to say I agree with this in terms of 4th amendment rights.

The Conservation Police can be brutal, about time they get the same rules as regular LEO's.

So, are the conservation police the equivalent of our game wardens? Or are they like forest preserve police?

As much as I hate a poacher, and appreciate what these guys do, it's not right that they can just ignore the Constitution just because they say so.

I agree with any bill that stops people from violating illegal search and seizure laws.
