Wondering if any of the fellow Illinois hunters have heard anything about this year's lottery for Bobcats? I thought it was already in the works at this point last year when you paid your $5 to be entered in to be drawn for one of the 500 tags. Any info is appreciated!
I just looked in the Hunting digest and I didn't read anything about there being a lottery this year but maybe I missed it.
I've been wondering the exact same thing. The lottery application last year was September 1-30 so maybe it's not open yet.
Just checked the 2017-2017 Illinois Hunting and Trapping Digest. On page 28, it states that the bobcat lottery will be open from September 1-30 online only with a $5 non refundable application fee.
