If your wife woke up tomorrow, and said "Honey, I wanna start bowhunting."

?

If your wife wanted to learn to bowhunt - how would you react?

  1. No way. My bow season would be ruined if I had to drag her along.

  2. She would only be allowed to go on days when I wasn't hunting with the boys.

  3. I would be thrilled! It would be a dream come true.

  4. I'm sure this will be a waste of $1500. New Ladies Bow, Stand, Camo - all gonna be dust collectors.

See it would really be awesome, but I could never take mine hunting since she would feel bad and scare the deer away, she loves to eat them just doesn't like them being harvested. But would be awesome; plus if I am with my buddies it's really the only chance I can get.

I've been in relationships that enjoyed hunting and wanted me to bring her with everytime. Now I am married and my wife has absolutely zero interest in hunting. It sounds odd, but I like the fact that she has no interest. My time is still my time and she'll listen to stories and enjoy eating the harvest, but as far as participating, she doesnt want to. After experiencing both, my wifes view is WONDERFUL!

I already know the answer so I can't vote in the poll. The bow, arrows and everything I purchased for her in the spring of 2010 sits in the closet collecting dust. Everytime I said "Let's do some target practice," she had a reason not to. I gave up and now have about $1K insurance that she can't complain when I go hunting.

My wife & I both shoot Drenalins. She loves to shoot and does hunt some, but she's a fair-weather hunter. She hates being cold, so that pretty much rules out 95% of the season up here...

Dream come true as long as she was serious about it, and looking to learn, and not just be "with me".

One thing my wife hates more than porta-johns is...well...no john at all. I think that would do it for her.

If not, I'd stress how cold, miserable, and boring hunting really is. Hunting is my time and I'd like her to stay out of it. She shed hunts (some) with me and that's about as involved as I want her to be.

    Yes, I am a prick.

She likes to eat them but, she will not hunt them. If for some reason she wanted to start hunting...straight to the bow shop we would go!

She has zero interest in hunting so it doesn't matter.

Why isn't there an option for "my wife already bowhunts and is most likely the reason I got a bow in the first place"? Because I would totally be clicking the crap out of that choice.

Would not happen, my wife has no desire what so ever to go hunting. But she loves deer meat and buys me hunting **** so I'm happy with that! If she did want to, I would definitely take her out but at some point I would have to start some serious hunting
