If your wife woke up tomorrow, and said "Honey, I wanna start bowhunting."

If your wife wanted to learn to bowhunt - how would you react?

  1. No way. My bow season would be ruined if I had to drag her along.

  2. She would only be allowed to go on days when I wasn't hunting with the boys.

  4. I'm sure this will be a waste of $1500. New Ladies Bow, Stand, Camo - all gonna be dust collectors.

    My wife will be hunting this year, her first season. That means I can't kill anything though. It's twice as expensive since I have to buy two of everything now, but it's going to be twice the fun too. Great times ahead.

    Maybe my opinion will change, but I enjoy the fact that relationships I have been in don't revolve around hunting and hope it continues that way. Hunting is MY time away from work, school, relationships, and stress. I usually go it alone for deer hunting and get to socialize with my best friends back at camp. I like it the way it is for me personally.

    My wife wanted to start a few years ago, thought she would start with a rifle. I bought her a new rifle, camo, boots, took the education course, got a license, then she decided she couldn't watch a deer die. No biggie as it's the only thing I do that's my time and it's a limited time of the year. She will fish with me and loves it, so we spend a lot of time together doing this, but I just don't think she would like/approve of the camp atmosphere and shenanigans that happen there.

    X2. I know my wife will never want to, but I do like having my time to myself. Then again, with our schedules, our time during the season is limited as it is, so it would be nice to see her more. Ah heck, I don't know:D

    I'm not married, but if I was and she wanted to it would be a no for me. That's my time and I would kinda like to keep it that way. It sounds selfish but I am kinda like Tembry. Its my time away from everything and I like that way.

    I'd welcome it with open arms but it ain't gonna happen.

    Probably because she knows I'd buy a 2-man ladder stand and try and join the 20' high club

    Wife saw how much fun and enjoyment I got out of practicing in the backyard. So last yr for our anniversary we picked her up a bow, added all the toys and stuff do it. We enjoy shooting together in the backyard. Just got done shooting a couple hours ago.

    She hasn't showed much interest in hunting yet. Said its either cold, early, and she don't wanna get out of a warm bed early in the morning.

    My wife does her "Bambi" dance before I go hunting.
    "Go Bambi, Go Bambi". She WILL NOT eat venison at all (that she knows of...hehehehe). She doesn't really care that I hunt. I go out about once every week and she doesn't say a word about it unless I neglect some honey-do she wanted done. I hunted before I met her so that's what she accepted in the package deal.
    It's like the county song;
    My wife told me if I went fishing one more time she'd leave me, I sure will miss her!

    I would love it! I wish my whole family hunted! Right now it is just me and working on my youngest of 4. The other kids and wife have no interest in it. My wife comes in the back room when I am on the outdoor channel watching TV she will start whispering and then laugh at me. LOL My youngest is my only one left to corrupt and that is my daughter Kenna.
