I say Kentucky all the way with a booner deer population and a possibility at "out of bonds" elk tags every year. My dream state.

Avoid WV. I live here and have hunted WV since I was about 8 yrs old. For an out of stater it is expensive for a licenses and extra tags are overpriced for the quality of hunting. I live close to the VA border and VA offers far more opportunities for a non-resident bow/gun hunter. Anymore I do limited hunting in my home state. Where I hunt in VA trophy deer are the exception but you can shoot and take more deer. WV is messed up with politicans controlling our hunting and not the DNR.
