I think its time for a little honesty. I don’t mean to be hyper critical or even mean but if you can’t find the irony in this, you are hopelessly lost in your ideological world. In the 1930’s communism was a growing, popular, out-in-the-open ideology in America. With the end of World War 2 and the advent of the Cold War, communism was forced “underground” in America. While those dedicated to the communist ideal were no longer accepted in open venues, communism was given a wink and a nod within the academic world. Not only was a blind eye turned but the very concepts proposed by Karl Marx and those of his ilk were openly discussed and focused on in universities coast to coast. Of course, professors rarely gave historical background and accounting of the bloody results of adopting communism and because they were preaching to naive youth those ideas were readily clave to by impressionable students. Although the brand name was rarely mentioned the ideology was well defined. As academia became polluted with communist sympathizers, more and more youth were inculcated into the ranks of those so “useful”. Those same adherents worked their way into city, state and national governments and soon the cry of “social justice” echoed throughout public discourse. Government programs such as the Equal Opportunity Commission, Affirmative Action and privately funded organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union (an organization whose founders were strongly influenced by the Communist Party) initiated their “progressive” mandates nationwide. Many of these programs are tax payer funded and not only allow subversive ideologies in collages but promote those teachings to a wider and wider population. Now we have folks like our current president, heavily influenced by a Communist Party card carrying father, Communist Party card carrying mentor, and communist sympathizing mother, educated by a radical academic society in command of national policy. The irony I find in all of this is: If the communist/Marxist ideal is adopted and implemented in America and that result is the same as history has shown in past flourishes of this sort of social upheaval, the academics and intellectuals will be the first to be shipped to the gulag for “re-education” and/or extermination. Thus, “social justice” will be enacted as universal misery, death and torment for us all. As citizens, we still have a choice in these matters. Whether it is to take initiative and live life to the fullest, accepting the bitter along with the rewards or to relinquish our freedoms to those who claim divine knowledge (while being atheist) of what is best for us and live an existence of subservience in groveling, “safe” misery. If you were “American”, what choice would you make?
When you copy and paste from a published article you should give them credit for their writings and not show it as your own. LOL
I beg your pardon. This was no “copy and paste”. Remember what I said about being lost in an ideological world? Just goes to prove my point. K PS Please tell me where you think I got this from. I obviously need a check in the mail heading my way.
Simple denial of truth does nothing to diminish its validity. Cue up facts to dispute what I say. Cue up one fact to dispute what I say. When I was young (yes, we had electricity), American history and principals were taught in all schools. Those principals were the first to be eliminated from liberal education. The thing that replaced those principals was the strict belief in instructors’ infallibility. Who were the instructors?
They threw me out…said something about “lost causes”. I’m not really sure what they meant. Paranoia is termed as an unreasoning fear. Looking squarely at truth and calling for what it is bespeaks of cool reason. Denial of facts does nothing to change reality. We all choose how to interpret what happens around us. Some draw conclusions based on logic. Some draw conclusions based on what they wish was true.
That reminds me of an email i got a while ago ** * I WROTE A BOOK ABOUT MY STRUGGLES I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women. I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer. Although my father deserted me and my mother raised me, I later wrote a book idolizing my father, not my mother. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy. No one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate. I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my new country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs and didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny. I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and embarked on a new career. I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs, that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child. I became active in local politics in my 30s. Then, with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker, and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego. At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy... I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better, and every poor person would be fed and housed for free. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks and corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them; and, if they became envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight. I called mine "A People's Campaign.” That sounded good to all people. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support. I knew that if I merely offered the people 'hope', together we could change our country and the world. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities." My true views were not widely known, and I kept them unknown until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And then the world learned the truth. Who am I? answer: ADOLPH HITLER. If you were thinking of SOMEONE ELSE, you should be scared ... very scared!
Well since you are the one making claims here, I'd say the Burden of proof is on you, which you have offered none yet. Just a couple paragraphs of conspiracy drivel.
There is alot of info of his connections to communism. His mentor (Frank marshal Davis) was a known communist. I find it strange that people don't know this and deny it when it is brought up. http://www.aim.org/aim-column/obamas-communist-mentor/ His economic views are socialist at best and he is expanding governments roll in many areas that government needs not be involved in. He may not be full blown communist but his views and policies have clearly been influenced by it.
The “burden of proof” lies not with me but in President Obama’s own words, in the books that he authored. The liberal media was (and is) loathe discussing Mr. Obama’s true political motivations…because they agree with his ideology. A new book entitled “The Communist” lays out all of the connections and references needed to gain an accurate picture of our President’s politics. If one is unwilling to fact facts, it does nothing to change them. Denial and ignorance of truth is as criminal to our children and grandchildren as if they were being held at gunpoint.
Although there are many who are in favor of turning America from a republic into either a socialist country or communist country, as long as we have any people who are not influenced by the liberal rhetoric, I don't foresee it happening. What I do see right now are more and more of the silent majority finally speaking up and that is what has some in DC concerned. I had a sociology teacher years ago who on the first day of class announced "Karl Marx was a great man and the world would be a better place if we were all Marxists." I was attending night classes while still on active duty. The teacher and I went round and round throughout the semester and when it came to the final paper, with much reluctance she agreed with my paper. She was at the time working on her doctorate and was so impressed with my paper that she plagiarised it. Anyway, communism will not take over America becuase there has never been and never will be a successful communist country. Due to the flaws in the human psyche and the need for greed in those in power, communist countries have all turned to dictatorships and failed with the exception of North Korea. So let me get this right, between T, Konrad, rancid and a few others I'm a Black, Japanese. The list is actually endless over what one could associate me with over my 58 years. Thank God Most young people these days are smart enough to figure out fact from smoke being blown up their hind quarters.
I appreciate your belief that changing America into a socialist/communist government seems highly unlikely; however, as time goes by, more and more young minds are heavily influenced by leftist educational institutions. Children are being indoctrinated with altruistic ideologies beginning at an early age. Linearism is a religion practiced proselytilized and accepted within the halls of education’s society. The plan is strictly a numbers game. If enough voting members of the electorate can be inculcated with leftist ideologies, those ideologies are put into practice in the Congresses state-wide and at the national level. It is our duty as Americans to fight this indoctrination whenever it rears its ugly head be it when kids come home with Man Made Global Warming propaganda or when they come home trying to enlist family members to sacrifice time and treasure on leftist causes. These are patient people and while they may not be able to “throw a switch” to “fundamentally change America”, they are content with incremental advances along that path. Eventually, if things do not change, beginning at the local school board level, they will win.
One’s studies of various cultures, religions and ideologies merely reflect a broad education and inquisitive mind. When one adopts an ideology, religion or culture it would be foolish to ignore those facts. If something walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, there is a high probability it is a duck. On the other hand, no one ever brought ethnicity into this discussion. My experience shows there are plenty of racist, bigoted, homophobic, alcoholic, drug addicts, lying, cheating, stealing, and unfaithful people of all colors, religions and cultures. One must judge the mind of a man by his works not by his words. Sometimes, if given enough words, the mind of the man will slip out (i.e. “You didn’t build that business. Somebody else built that business”). The filter used in speech must be tuned by research and discrimination. “I am not a crook!”
