I meant that Donald would be the equivalent of Jesse, just on a national scale. It wasn't a compliment.

Any one of the Republicans who have expressed an interest in the job would be a better choice than Clinton., Warren, or Sanders.

It's a little early in the campaign to actually make a definite choice, but we like Trump if he sticks to his guns and keeps on unashamedly pointing out what needs to be done.

We don't think Scott Walker has enough recognition to be a really strong candidate, but we like him a lot for VP. He wouldn't be just a spare tire but a good candidate for successor after eight years.

Don't confuse democratic socialist with marxist. And atleast Bernie put his cards on the table and will likely stick with them.

    And he's pro-gun!.

I think Obama has done a decent job, considering what he stepped into (go ahead, start the bashing). Not perfect by any means, but history will look kindly on his presidency, whether people care to admit that or not. But I'd like to see a change to the tired political circus in the US. Hilary would be more of the same, so she won't be getting my vote. And most of the candidates to the right are no different. I'd like to see Bernie win the Dem primary and Rand Paul win the GOP primary. Neither guy is afraid to step out of line with his party, and I think overall that will help with the current dem vs. con gridlock.

History will not judge this Administration favorably. We will be paying for it's mistakes for decades. We are making deals with our enemies and shunning our allies. That will haunt us one day.

People keep saying stuff like this, and have been since Obama took office, but in all honesty, we're in a better spot as a country since Obama took office, and despite whether he should get credit for that or not, he most likely will.

Like I said, I will not vote for more of the same. So most likely I'll end up abstaining from voting because I'm sick of the circus that is American politics. But man the republicans get so butthurt over Obama, and it's hilarious.

This is a great ACA timeline that really sums up the Obama presidency nicely.

Oct 2008: "You'll never get elected and pass healthcare."
Nov 2008: "We'll never let you pass healthcare."
Jan 2009: "We're gonna shoot you down every time you try to pass healthcare."
July 2009: "We'll fight to the death every attempt you make to pass healthcare."
Dec 2009: "We will destroy you if you even consider passing healthcare."
March 2010: "We can't believe you just passed healthcare."
April 2010: "We are going to overturn healthcare."
Sept 2010: "We are going to repeal healthcare."
Jan 2011: "We are going to destroy healthcare."
Feb 2012: "We're gonna elect a candidate who'll revoke healthcare NOW."
June 2012: "We'll go to the Supreme Court, and they will overturn healthcare."
Aug 2012: "American people will never re-elect you. They don't want healthcare."
Oct 2012: "We can't wait to win the election and explode healthcare."
Nov 2012: "We can't believe you got re-elected & we can't repeal healthcare."
Feb 2013: "We're still going to vote to obliterate healthcare."
June 2013: "We can't believe the Supreme Court just upheld healthcare."
July 2013: "We're going to vote like 35 more times to erase healthcare."
Sept 2013: "We are going to leverage a government shutdown into defunding, destroying, obliterating, overturning, repealing, dismantling, erasing and ripping apart healthcare."
Oct 2013: "WHY AREN'T YOU NEGOTIATING???"

He passed the Health care bill through with a large Democrat majority in the house and senate. Each election since then, they have lost seats on both sides of congress. To the point that they no longer have the majority. That says a lot about how this administration is perceived. The supreme court ruled against the unconstitutionality of the health care law on a technicality. Just because something became law and could not be overturned does not mean it will be a good thing for this country going forward. EVERYONE's cost of health care will go up, the number of licensed professionals will go down and quality of service will decrease. Research into new innovative procedures and medicines will slow to a crawl as profit margins begin to fall. It's a slow kill, and in my opinion, exactly what he is trying to do. He has a vision for a new America, one where we are no longer a superior power to the rest of the world. He does not love this country and he is a patriot in no sense of the word.

I honestly can't think of anything that he has done that would register positive for the way I perceive the way our country should be.

Our gun control has failed many times, he's not wrong. The point is why do our current laws keep failing?

And how does adding new ones make it work? Being we do so poorly enforcing the old ones.

Is the problem lack of laws or lack of enforcement?

    I believe the latter

Uhhh, I'm talking about Sanders being not pro gun (contrary to Swampthing's original post.) As noted in he article, Sanders is not what any pro gun person would consider pro gun. He is in fact, anti gun. F. Chuck Todd of all people was pointing out to Sanders that gun control doesn't work.

And it doesn't work b/c those who it purportedly tries to control are typically criminals; ergo disinclined to obey such laws.

When/where have you seen one instance of federal gun control laws not being enforced??? (Because I want to move there tomorrow.)

    I say scrap them all!

None of them are worthy of my vote anymore!

That includes the house, senate ,governors the whole effing lot of them.

We need to start over with term limits and get real people in those positions!

    Here is an idea.

Lets use our write in votes and elect educated people that care more about America than they do their own agenda and pocket books.

Too soon to say today who I would vote for with the exception of knowing for a damn sure fact it wont be a lib-dem. That is a failed experiment that is in need of cleansing. The novelty act we have in the Oval office today is proof positive.
