Pretty simple, scout new chucks of public land I've had interest in checking out but never had time to do.

This post season I'm not sure what I'm going to do being the buck I hunted the last 2 years Is dead. I know of where 2 other mature bucks (3.5 year old 7 point and either a 3.5 or 4.5 year old 8 point) are bedding. Not sure yet I want to hunt them next year. Both are bad gened bucks. I probably should've taken one of them out this year, had my chances many times but passed. We'll see what they look like this summer If they make It through the winter.

I always get hung up into scouting and paying too much (if there is such a thing) attention to my main chunk of land. Which ultimately amounts to next to nothing as far as changing how I hunt it. It always falls back to knowing where they are and where to be at different times of the season (honey holes). And my setups continue to pay off. It's a matter of time. So not much needs to change or nothing to discover. It's like I'm looking for a reason to do something different that isn't there lol. At the same time I feel I neglected my other pieces of property that I have permission to hunt which probably have potential too if I put the time in. For some reason I get so hung up on my prime land that I don't want to miss anything.

    I'd actually do some.

I didn't think I was going to be able to hunt this year, so, I did nearly ZERO pre season scouting.
