I just wore out my alphas. They don't look like the picture because all the camo is wore off. I got at least 300 miles on mine but I do a lot of swamping which isn't quite so hard on them. I'll be watching for them to go on sale. I got my last pair for $100. I agree they should last longer for the price.

I need new rubbers (boots that is)
I am fixing to buy 3 Covert Trail Cams.

Other than that, I am golden on gear.

Anyone contemplating Kenetrek boots needs to do it, they are freakin amazing! I have a pair of them, which I only wear on trips out west due to the price and not wanting to wear em out around home, but man alive what a solid, comfortable boot. I bet we put 10+ miles a day on them easily for 11 days straight in Alaska, half the time being soaked to the core, and only one minor blister popped up. That is solid.

This is what I'm adding this year in place of the usual 3 to 4 more hang ons.

So true. I use a cheap pair off Mechanics gloves. They are pretty thin so I can wear them on warm days and if its cold I just use my pockets for a couple minutes.

Very true about the Mechanics gloves, I use a pair for ALL my hunting and they are great! They are a thinner pair and have great feel on the bow.

The upper parts of my LaCrosse boots still have camo.

Having the camo worn off doesn't bother me. It's the holes that are appearing all over them. I plastered duct tape all over them last hunting season to try and hold them together. :D

Holy Schnikeys Christine - what did you do to those boots?!?

Mine always turn black around the tops of the toes and eventually, the soles start peeling off. Like you said, holes and rips everywhere. I really should've taken a picture of my 2007-2008 set - I tried to get two full years out of them, and doggone it, I did!

I've never seen a pair turn white like that! LOL It almost looks like you walked around in some kind of chemical that bleached the outer skin. Classic.

I wish somebody from LaCrosse would read this thread and realize that they need to start cranking out a better product. Their boots suck, but I keep buying them because I can't find another option that's as light or fits better with that "tennis shoe" feel.

I would really like a Lone Wolf stand. Other than that I have everything I need in older camo clothes and a portable treestand. See deer kill deer. :)

I would buy a small HD handheld camera for a second point of view in my tree.... maybe a kodiak playsport or just a small sony handheld.... something to give real time shots when self filming.
