I'm getting my bow this week and want to start out with a budget friendly setup. It's a new Hoyt Rampage Xt set at 29" DL and 70lbs. I need a sight, arrow rest, and stabilizer for under $200. I can spend more if need be but I'm just looking for suggestions from the pros on here. I like the single pin adjustable sights and also the verticle 3 pins. Arrow rest? Maybe a whisker biscuit or good drop away. Are there any problems mounting a drop away to a hoyt? I know to get what suits me best as far as comfort, etc. I'm just looking for a little direction. I've got arrows and heads so that can be taken out of the equation. Also, what kind of string silencers should I go with? I like the little monkey tail looking things but I always used string leeches. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

    Here's some ideas

    Budget friendly:
TruGlo sight. Whisker Biscuit rest. Limbsaver stabilizer.

    Mid budget:
Apex sight. Code Red drop away rest. Octane stabilizer

    Really good stuff:
Spot Hogg Hunter or Black Gold sight. QAD HDX or Limbdriver Pro-V rest. B-Stinger, Doinker, Vendetta, Paradigm stabilizer

When it comes to string silencers, there is a ton of options out there. I am still a big believer in the old school cat whiskers. They are cheap, effective and last a really long time.

I would buy a QAD HDx for 150 and get a cheapo sight and limbsaver S-coil stabilizer till you can afford upgrades.
Any sight and stab will get you by for now but I wouldn't skimp on the rest.

    Apache drop away

Sights I prefer Vital Gear angled pin sights.

For a stabilizer any will do, I used a limb saver for many years.

Your options are almost unlimited with all the products out there these days. The good thing is that most are pretty good. Get a good rest and cheaper sight and stabilizer. You can upgrade those later. I use truglo $30 sights and love them. I've used a $15 Doinker stabilizer for 10 years and never had a problem with it. I am upgrading the stabilizer now though.

Thanks for all the tips, guys. Think I'll run by the shop and see what they have. I had been leaning towards the Apache drop away.
