Baha, I do want to try a Supper Club and would love to deer hunt the northern woods some day... but if I'm living somewhere that just offers Deer and Turkey hunting there are much warmer places to achieve that. I want to head after bigger/different critters so my sights are set on the west.
LOL.. There's a bicycle riding test you have to pass to gain admittance to the state but after that, it's easy. Unemployment rate is less than 4% so getting a job shouldn't be too hard. Just depends on where you want to live. Lots of jobs up in the city... but... city. Here's that bike test...
I'd like to live in idaho. So many different hunting opportunities. But it's all about the neighbors.
I guess I will be standing pat on moving right now. Mostly for my parents. My Dad is facing his 4th open heart surgery, this time to fix a leaky valve. I can't leave them with his health up in the air. When and if the time comes where that is not an issue, we will be looking to move to a state that is libertarian ... I want to finish my life as free as possible. For now, I will be researching this to death, so keep the suggestions coming....I am loving this thread.
I would love to have a ranch here in Ohio (don't think I'll ever leave the state) with a few hundred (or thousand) acres with a lake stocked with lm bass, bluegill, and catfish; mostly wooded and completely private area with a big open yard; a few small clearings for planting food plot honey holes tucked away in the woods; a valley with a creek running in the bottom with switchgrass and bedding for deer; and a nice modern 4 bedroom cabin made of wood and stone that smells of pine; a paver stone walkway that meets the stairs to the back deck leading out to a massive stone circle firepit; and a barn and pasture for a horse.
Ideally I would like to summer in Jackson Hole and winter in the Keys.... I've been living on the Gulf Coast for about 5 years now and really love the laid back, coastal lifestyle. I wouldn't move anywhere right now unless I could have multiple locations, such as those in my first sentence.
Ok, I recant my original comments about PA being not too bad
I don't know if I would ever leave Idaho. I got everything I ever want here. Big game, fishing, mountains. Country_ Boy
I was intentionally being a bit overly dramatic, but where in PA do you find scenery like that? Simply stunning.
