I guess it would be fun with small bucks but if its big enough to shoot with a broadhead, its big enough to keep. I shoot does for a reason, for the table. Wont be any catch and release for the baldies!
All the adamant no's surprise me... You wouldn't partake even if you tagged out on bucks opening weekend? In theory I would do it, but in reality I hunt too many places/states to ever be out of critters to kill.
I'm with you Trevor, I'm surprised as well. I enjoy eating meat just as much as everyone else, but if I kill one elk or two deer, I have plenty of meat for my family for the year. If I could keep hunting and just take photos or whatever, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Not a chance. At the rate I'm going for the past several years, it's not exactly like I'm putting a big dent in the buck population anyhow.
That'll change… now you live in the state that has giants behind every tree, except where the sharp shooters have their corn piles. :D
Would You do it knowing 1/5 bucks will die from capture myopathy for a hero pic? Most state regs clearly define paintballs, and specific weapons(spears, bowling balls) as illegal already. Besides, otc tranquilizer and a delivery system would never be made available. Most hunters don't use lifelines or safety vests now. Yep lets give them enough M99 to kill themselves inside of 3 minutes.
Lol this is a theoretical.. Not happening with current situations nor current technology. And to top that, I'd never do it for whitetails anyway. Sitting in a tree stand is boring. If I tagged out I'd move on to more fun activities.
Seriously? You obviously missed the point. Are you familiar with the concept of a hypothetical question?
Pretty sure the question was hypothetical. With hypothetical question, you don't have to worry about Repercussions. It's like if someone asked you if you would sleep with Kate Upton. My obvious answer is yes, but that's because I know that there's no reality of it actually happening and I don't have to worry about the repercussions.
No poison dart concept like you described. Kind of on the same page though: No-Kill Hunting: Is 'KillShot' A Long Shot? | North American Hunting Club http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/17/sports/17hunting.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
Kind of reminds me of the failed "World Hunting Association" where "pro hunters" would chase around animals inside a high fence ranch and shoot them with tranq darts then score them.
